The White House

The White House was set ablaze by the British forces during the War of 1812. Much of the city of Washington was burned or destroyed during the siege. First Lady Dolley Madison saved a painting of George Washington during the fire. This photo shows an arila view of the Whiter House - can you find the three differences in this photo hunt puzzle?

After the fire the White House started a reconstruction phase that began in 1815 and lasted until 1817. The construction of the South and North Porticos took place seven years later.
