Panama Canal

     

In 1904 the United States embarked on one of the largest and most complex engineering projects ever - the Panama Canal. The US purchased the equipment, and completed work, left over by French and began work on May 4, 1904. Did you find the 3 changes? Click to see the next puzzle.

The chief engineer of the Panama Canal was John Stevens, and he convinced US President Theodore Roosevelt that the construction of the canal should be built with a system of dams and locks.
