In the 2nd century AD, Herodes Atticus was a Roman senator from Greece that served under Emperor Antoninus Pius. The Odeon of Herodes Atticus amphitheatre still serves as a venue for famous concerts at the Acropolis today. Some famous concerts at the venue have been Elton John, Sting, Yanni, and the Miss Universe Pageant.
