Gandhi

When Gandhi was 18 his family convinced him to travel to England to earn a law degree, even though Gandhi had his heart set on becoming a doctor. The thought of studying abroad was exciting and he was motivated to learn.

After three years Gandhi returned to India with his law degree, but finding work as a lawyer in India was not easy, so Gandhi took a job with an Indian law firm in South Africa. While Gandhi was in South Africa he witnessed significant amounts of racial discrimination against Indians.
