Christopher Columbus

Columbus set sail for his second trip to the New World on September 24, 1493. On this voyage he had 17 ships and 1200 men. His objectives were exploration and colonization of the islands.

Columbus eventually made two more voyages to the New World, and also entered into a dispute with Ferdinand and Isabella over the 10% of profits he hadnt received. The court relieved him as governor so they didnt feel they had to honor his contract.
