Galileo Galilei
Galileo was a respected scientist, but his path of fame started when he began experiments using the telescope. The telescope had been just recently invented in Germany, but Galileo was the first person to begin using the telescope to study the night’s sky. Galileo also made improvements on the telescope to allow it to better study celestial bodies. Galileo’s improvements had a tenfold increase on the magnification of his telescope – going from a 3x magnification to 30x. |
