The Grand Canyon

     

The Grand Canyon is the largest canyon in the world, and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The Grand Canyon is located in Arizona about 60 miles north of the city of Flagstaff. The Grand Canyon was created by the water of the Colorado River carving into the Colorado Plateau for 40 million years. The Grand Canyon is 280 miles long, 20 miles wide, and over a mile deep.
