Franklin D. Roosevelt

     

Franklin D. Roosevelt (January 30, 1882 - April 12, 1945) became president of the US during the Great Depression, and helped give the country hope during tough times - especially when he helped guide the country to victory during World War II. Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born in Hyde Park, New York and was an only child. Roosevelt had a privileged upbringing and his mother Sara was a great influence on his childhood. He attended a boarding school in Massachusetts and then attended Harvard University.
