Louis Pasteur

     

Louis Pasteur (December 27, 1822 September 28, 1895) is a French chemist and biologist who was renowned for his concepts on how germs cause diseases. He also discovered several vaccines. Louis Pasteur was born in the town of Dole France. He came from a family of leather-makers and his father stressed hard work. Young Louis was considered an average student, but after attending college he applied to the prestigious Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris.
