Atomic Age

     

The beginnings of the Atomic Bomb were theorized by many physicists in the early 20th century. Albert Einsteins famous mass-energy equation (E=mc2) foreshadowed the huge amount of atomic energy that was possible. The US began its top secret Manhattan project in 1939. The program was in response to intelligence that the Nazis were developing a nuclear weapons program.
