Palace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles began as a hunting lodge, but in 1661 Louis XIV decided to turn it into a 2,000 acre mega-palace. Louis wanted to move his court out of Paris in order to keep a closer watch over them. This photo shows the chandeliers and ceiling of the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles - can you find the three differences in this photo hunt puzzle?

Louis XIV's desire to create a new headquarters for his royal court became a reality in 1678 as he started to gradually move his court to Versailles. The Palace of Versailles became the official site of the court on May 6, 1682.
