The Forbidden City

The British went behind the back of the emperor and began trading with China, but the product that was traded was opium! The British began trading with people in the western part of China (away from Beijing and the Forbidden City), because the opium was produced in India. This photo shows a temple at the Forbidden City - can you find the three differences in this photo hunt puzzle?

Opium wars began in China with the focus of trying to stop the drugs flowing into the country. The wars ended with the signing of treaties, and the treaties contained the opening of Chinese ports to outside trading.
