Easter Island
A horrible consequence occurred from the Easter Island statue-building. The inhabitants used so much wood to create and transport their statues, that they removed all the trees from the Easter Island. Without trees a huge ecological disaster occurred. The topsoil on Easter Island was affected and crops didnt grow. Also there was no wood to create fishing boats to catch fish. Subsequently a huge famine took place on the Easter Island. |
