Sigmund Freud
Sigmund Freud was Jewish and in 1938 Nazism was sweeping through Europe, especially in his native Austria. That year German troops put many Jewish families, including the Freuds, under house arrest.

Because of political connections the Freud family was allowed to leave German-controlled Austria and headed for London England. Sigmund Freud went through several surgeries for oral cancer, but unfortunately passed away in 1939. |
