Ben Franklin
Having spent time in London, Franklin was very loyal towards England. But over time he witnessed all the corruption of the English governance with the colonies. He felt that America should break free from England and become an independent country.

Franklin worked on uniting the colonies, and was elected to the Second Continental Congress. He (along with Jefferson) was on the committee of five people that drafted the Declaration of Independence. |
