Alexander Graham Bell
Alexander Graham Bell created the telephone by using tuned reeds and magnets/electromagnets. Essentially, someone would speak into the transmitter and the sounds would make a disc vibrate. Alexander Graham Bells phone would then record the vibrations with an electromagnet and then transmit that to the receiver on the other end using electricity. Then the electricity would vibrate a very similar disc on the other end and could reproduce the sound. |
