Albert Einstein
Einstein fled Germany in 1933 and renounced his citizenship because of the Nazi party. He came to America and took a position at Princeton University as Professor of Theoretical Physics, and became a United States citizen in 1940.

Einstein achieved a rockstar status was even offered the Presidency of Israel after World War II. Einstein declined the offer, but helped in establishing Jerusalems Hebrew University. |
