Shakespeare began writing tragedies and most of which are considered to be the greatest literary works ever - these include Hamlet, King Lear, and Macbeth. During this portion of his life Shakespeare divided his time between London and his new home he built for his family in his hometown of Stratford. Did you find the 3 changes? As Shakespeare grew older he wrote fewer plays and he eventually passed away at the age of 52 at his home in Stratford. A testament to his contribution to literature is the fact that his popularity continues to grow, and adaptations of his work are seen extensively in stories and present day movies.
