Thomas Edison

     

Thomas Edison invented the motion picture camera which he called a Kinetograph. Much of the work on the Kinetograph was done by his employee William Dickson. Thomas Edison passed away in West Orange New Jersey from complications of diabetes. During Edisons funeral President Hoover asked all Americans to dim their lights in observance of the man that had brought light to the world.
