Janes parents entrusted her childhood house to her brother James, and moved to Bath. Jane did not like life in Bath, and continued writing sporadically. Life for Jane Austen would get even worse when her father passed away. The death of Janes father also led to financial problems for the Austen family, and the older brothers had to donate money.
