The New World

     

Another famous explorer of the New World was Amerigo Vespuci. He made several voyages, but his legacy was that he was a very skilled in cartography (mapmaking). Settlements of the New World followed these early explorers: England (and later France) in North America, and Spain and Portugal in Central and South America.
